Relic Entertainment has released a press release for the previously released Company of Heroes – Definitive Edition. Unfortunately, the focus of this report isn’t just the new trailer celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary. Unfortunately, there’s also a release delay lurking within it.
When the final version of the classic game was initially announced, rumors suggested the game would be released in the fall of 2026. Now the game has been delayed to a few months later in 2027. Relic has now set the new release date for early 2027, but has not been more specific; the exact planned date is still being announced at a later date.
Company of Heroes is a real-time strategy game set during World War II that shaped the genre with its cinematic narrative, squad-based tactics, and destructible battlefields of the time. The game is considered one of the best real-time strategy games of all time.
