As Microsoft announced last week, the Game Pass game service will lose 10 games by the middle of this month. Several major items on Xbox consoles and PC will be removed from the subscription. This will happen on September 15th, and there’s now one last weekend to try or play the games that are set to be removed.
Starting September 16, you won’t be able to play the following 10 games on Game Pass:
- Commandos: Origins (Xbox, PC)
- Cricket 24 (Xbox, PC)
- Cyberpunk 2077 (Xbox)
- Dead Cells (Xbox, PC)
- Deepstone Galaxy Survivors (Xbox, PC)
- Frostpunk 2 (PC)
- Mullet Maniac (Xbox, PC)
- Soul Ferryman (Xbox, PC)
- Overthreshold (Xbox, PC)
- Train Simulator World 5 (Xbox, PC)
Note that Cyberpunk 2077 has only been on Game Pass for six months – the item was added to the subscription this spring, almost immediately after the release of The Witcher 3, also from CD Projekt RED. The Witcher was removed from subscriptions at the end of August, and now Cyberpunk 2077 is also leaving the service.
One clear loss for Game Pass subscriptions can be seen with the game Commandos: Origins, which was released on the service immediately after launch and had many technical issues upon release. She is doing much better now, and she managed to get 2 major DLCs during her service.
