Blizzard brought a grand surprise to the audience at the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026, officially announcing “Diablo 5”. According to the developer, the large-scale sequel to the series is planned to be released in the spring of 2029. The first atmospheric trailer for the project was also shown to the public.
The main plot of the new part will be a completely different world view: the events will unfold a century after the ending of the previous game, in the landscape of a completely fallen asylum, where the forces of evil have triumphed. The central question of the plot will be the survival of humanity in a world where familiar landmarks have been destroyed. At the same time, it supports the current Diablo 4 will continue until the launch of the fifth part, the author promises to reveal the first detailed details about the gameplay within the framework of the ongoing festival panel.
