Aniplex and French-Bread Studios have announced the exact release date for MELTY BLOOD: TWI-LUMINA. The new fighting game based on the TYPE-MOON universe will be released on April 22, 2027, and will be available on PC (steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Along with announcing the release date, the developer also released the first gameplay trailer for MELTY BLOOD: TWI-LUMINA. The film shows characters such as Ren, Shiki Tono, Arquid, and Ciel fighting. Also revealed for the first time is an updated look for White Ren created by artist Takashi Takeuchi.
The game will be a remaster of MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA, featuring an updated combat system and new characters. The developer promises a new storyline created by Nasu Kinoko specifically for Tohno Shiki. In the main story, players will explore Soya City and fight various characters.
Prior to release, “MELTY BLOOD: TWI-LUMINA” will be available for trial use at the 2026 Tokyo Game Show held at the Makuhari Messe Center in Chiba, Japan, from September 17th to 21st.
