Game Freak studio has announced Ame Nochi Hare Onna, a free-to-play game for iOS and Android, scheduled to be released this winter only in Japan. The new trailer showcases both the anime-inspired visual style and the characters themselves.
This project was created in collaboration with CHRONOGATE studio. The game is set in modern Japan and centers on a witch known as “Hare-onna” (literally “Sunny Girl”). They turn the weather into magic to lift people’s spirits. The heroines and their cute companions, cloud creatures named “Kumorin”, work together to disperse the dark clouds and give Japan clear skies.
According to the introduction, the gameplay will be connected to real weather data, allowing what happens in the game to be closely connected with players’ daily lives. It is understood that the girls are from different regions of Japan.
It is worth noting that the director and producer of “Pokemon” is Shigeru Omori, the general director of the “Pokémon” series, who has been working on the production of “Pokémon Omega Ruby” and “Alpha Sapphire” since the release in 2014.
“Ame Nochi Hare Onna” is expected to be released this winter on iOS and Android platforms. More information about the game will be available soon
