The software giant is keen to be seen as a responsible player in artificial intelligence, where Microsoft is one of the main cloud providers. Mustafa Suleyman, head of Microsoft’s artificial intelligence department, said: “We have received feedback from people who want to see a clearer commitment that artificial intelligence is always committed to benefiting mankind, rather than trying to replace humans. We have seen a lot of feedback that it should not create dependence, should not flatter, but should always promote human judgment and autonomous human decisions.
