Fans of the Friday the 13th series will be able to watch the series’ prequel, Crystal Lake, on Peacock on October 15, 2026, with A24 launching a full trailer for the series. In Russia, the premiere took place one day later at Amediatek.
The show’s creator, showrunner, writer and executive producer is Brad Kane (Black Sails, Warriors, Tokyo Vice), who most recently served as a producer on It: Welcome to Derry , another backstory-rich horror film.
The story takes place in the summer of 1971, as Pam Voorhees (Linda Cardellini, Scooby-Doo, ER, Green Book) is trying to recover from the tragic death of her young, frail son Jason (Callum Vinson, Chucky, Night Agent, God of War), who drowned in a local lake a year earlier. Then several strangers show up at her door, determined to uncover the secrets of her past, setting off a horrific series of events.
