Gears of War: E-Day creator shows off the horrors of Invasion Day in new trailer

Coalition and Xbox Game Studios have released a new story trailer for Gears of War: E-Day. Titled “Adagio,” the video features Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings,” arranged by Adam Lastivka and depicts the events of the invasion day.

The film centers on the sudden appearance of swarms of locusts, which burst out of the earth and descend upon the human world like rats or a deadly plague. The trailer emphasizes the scale of the disaster and the atmosphere of terror that will be an important part of the new game.

Gears of War: E-Day will be released on October 6, 2026 on PC and Xbox Series X|S. On PC, the game will be available on Steam and the Xbox app, and will also be included in Game Pass Ultimate on launch day. Xbox Play Anywhere support will allow you to use the digital version on PC and console.
