A potential name for the Soulslike successor has emerged as a trademark, along with a possible setting reveal. But please note: the following message contains spoilers from the end of Part One!
Lies of P is one of the most successful Souls games on the market, but it doesn’t come from From Software. The game has sold over 4 million copies since its release in 2023 – no wonder the development of a successor has long been decided. There may be new information on this now.
A trademark has now been registered in the European Union Intellectual Property Office’s (EUIPO) database and has appeared publicly in what could be the second part of the Soulslike saga. The registration was initiated by publisher Neowiz and is called “Wonders of O”. Given the similarity of the name to Lies of P, this could be the title of the sequel. This in turn is consistent with speculation about the background.

In the post-credits scene of the first part of “Souls”, it was revealed that the NPC previously known as Giangio was Philippus Paracelsus, who played a role in Krat’s encounter. He mentioned that he needed to find someone named Dorothy.
The references to The Wizard of Oz aka The Wizard of Oz can’t be ignored, and the alleged title “Wonders of O” now suggests that it will indeed take place in this setting. The Lie of P itself is based on Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio, although the main character is never named Pinocchio. At the moment, the odds seem high that the sequel will feature Frank Baum’s multiple Oz books.
