The developers of Supporter have finally revealed more details about their strangest experiment yet: what would happen if you sent a modern soldier to medieval England and gave him a machine gun, a grenade launcher, and a car. The answer is about ten minutes of complete chaos, as the knights run en masse towards the heavily armed time traveler.
In the new gameplay footage, we get a look at several key mechanics simultaneously. Players can personally engage in combat in third person, shooting hordes of opponents with modern weapons, then switch to a top-down view and command their own armies. You can give orders to your soldiers, change formations, fortify positions, and use medieval armies as human shields for your firepower experiments.
On the battlefield, not only assault rifles and shotguns can be used, but also grenade launchers, armored vehicles and other technologies that are extremely disproportionate to the 1403. At the same time, enemies won’t advance endlessly at you – large-scale attacks, sieges, and destruction should force players to constantly change tactics.
