Nubia has announced the launch of its NaviX Ultra smartphone, which the company positions as “the world’s first artificial intelligence smartphone.” Apart from the flagship features, the smartphone also comes with two fingerprint scanners – a side fingerprint scanner and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Goodix’s under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is used for everyday applications, wireless payments and overall device unlocking. The AI side button has a built-in second fingerprint scanner, which allows users to be verified immediately after starting AI chat. This is the consumer version of Doubao mobile assistant.
Nubia NaviX Ultra is equipped with a 6.78-inch OLED LTPO 2.0 screen with an adaptive update rate of 1 to 144Hz and a resolution of 2800×1260 pixels. This monitor supports 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, 2160Hz PWM brightness control and DC dimming. Peak brightness is 4500 cd/m22.
The smartphone is based on 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and Adreno 840 graphics subsystem. LPDDR5X RAM capacity is 12/16 GB, UFS 4.1 flash memory capacity is 512 GB or 1 TB.
For photo and video shooting, there is a 200-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), supplemented by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS support. The front camera resolution is 32 megapixels.
The 7100mAh battery supports 90W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The smartphone comes with two speakers supporting DTS:X Ultra surround sound technology and three microphones.
Nubia NaviX Ultra runs Android 16 and Nebula AIOS 2. It uses a full-duplex speech model developed by the ByteDance Seed team, allowing you to interrupt a conversation without restarting the conversation thread.
According to Nubia, the device’s speech recognition architecture can perform artificial intelligence recognition 48% faster than competing devices in noisy environments such as subways or transportation hubs, and has a 21% higher sentence accuracy. The system natively supports more than ten local dialects and has functions such as voice triggering, broadcast voice control, and headset touch control.
Nubia NaviX Ultra is priced at US$893 with 12/512 GB memory and US$968 with 16/512 GB memory. The model with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB flash drive costs $1,117.
