Infinity Ward and Activision arrived at the 2026 Tokyo Game Show with multiplayer shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and shared a trailer for the story event, which ended up surprising everyone.
One of the characters in the game, as usual, is the villain, played by everyone’s favorite Mads Mikkelsen. Throughout the film, John Price is once again operating undercover, feuding with former allies and befriending his latest enemies. There’s also North Korea invading South Korea, Blue Ball being threatened with the use of weapons that could upend the world order, and ending up in the hands of a villain named Archer.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will release on PC, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 23, 2026, but owners of the more expensive version will be able to join the single-player portion a week earlier, on October 16. Let us remind you that the project recently successfully completed closed and public testing.
