Sega has announced that Bayonetta will be the first new playable character in the racing arcade Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ second year of development. The witch from the horror series Bayonetta will arrive as part of a free update, along with her own butterfly witch car, as well as special emotes and sound effects.
The new Bayonetta trailer also shows off previously announced gameplay based on the Godzilla and Evangelion series. The first one will include the Godzilla Escape track and three cars: Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf. The Neon Genesis Evangelion Pack will add the Tokyo III track, three vehicles EVA-01 (test model), EVA-00 (prototype) and EVA-02 (production model), as well as Rei Ayanami and Shikiha Langley Asuka as playable characters.
Sega will reveal more details about Year 2 development of Sonic Racing: Crossover World on October 9, 2026, during the World Championship Finals broadcast and during a special presentation at the Year 2 Showcase.
