Funcom has been released Dune: Awakening 1.5 Updatepresenting the results as updated over a year. The main novelty is the introduction of Single player mode Complete, it lets you tackle the entire experience on your own, including Arrakis, narrative missions, challenges, and rewards. Once launched, you can choose between three difficulty levels or make detailed changes to the game’s settings.

a lot of news

Some elements of the system have been tweaked to achieve a single experience: Exchanges become real sellers, Landsraad simulates the presence of other guilds Keep matches active even when there are no other players Coriolis Storm no longer causes instant character death or erases progress in the Deep Desert.

Another important part of the update involves Game rules customization. On single-player and self-hosted servers, in addition to the death penalty and building area limits, elements such as sandstorms, safe zones, experience and resource collection multipliers, object deterioration, base rot, automatic emergence of sandworms and Koch storms can now be introduced.

With the arrival of the third phase of the conference The first narrative arc also ends Game. For the first time, the entire story of the first book can be completed from beginning to end in a single playthrough. Narrative missions already available receive new rewards, while some activities have been moved to instance levels to reduce waits on the busiest servers.

Not even role management Modified: The character becomes the center of the experience, can be used in different worlds compatible with the server type, and saves bases and vehicles that can follow him. Single player characters remain unique to this mode.

On the technical side, work carried out in view of the arrival of the console has also resulted in computer performanceimprovements to world loading, rendering, memory, collision, physics, vegetation and sandstorm handling. Combat has also been rebalanced, with larger parry windows, new animations to make enemy attacks easier to understand, changes to stamina and heavy attacks, and improved artificial intelligence when using cover.

PvP becomes more optional: The entire game can be played in PvE without giving up content, mechanics or rewards. Deep Desert has both PvE and PvP instances, while Haga Basin is entirely PvE. However, PvP still exists in more rewarding zones and can also be enabled through the new personal server settings.

Some changes were also introduced Reduce progress loss. The base rebuilding tool allows you to keep up to three complete base configurations, destroyed vehicles can be salvaged for up to 30 days, and bases can be dismantled deep in the desert, restoring 100% of stored materials and items. Maintenance fees have also been cancelled, the durability penalty after death has been reduced from 5% to 2%, and equipment consumption has been halved.

Landsraad, the core element of Endgamewas completely rebuilt around the mission. Previous resource drops have been replaced with repeatable activities dedicated to combat, crafting, collecting, exploration, and destruction. There are twenty levels of progression, up to the role of Atreides Envoy or Harkonnen Enforcer, with new rewards.

Arrakis also expands with seven new locations, six Imperial Test Stations with dedicated bosses of increasing difficulty, new weapons like the Dual Sword and the Fire Rocket, an overhaul of the rapier, new platinum-level gear blueprints, dynamic encounters, contracts, and a new radio station. Also expected later in 2026 is Polar Cap, a free update that will introduce a new survival map set in a frozen biome.
