Rhythm Paradise Groove still dominates Japanese charts, with only one PS5 game in the top ten

Japanese magazine “Famitsu” has released weekly rankings related to the Japanese market, valid from September 7 to 13, 2026. Few surprises: Nintendo Switch still dominates Rhythm Heaven GrooveOccupying the first place in the software rankings, followed by “Onimusha: Kendo”. The latter is the only PS5 game to make it into the top ten, with the other games being taken up by Switch 1 and Switch 2 games.

The only two new works in the ranking are “Gakkou de Atta Kowai Hanashi” and “Tsukikomori”, which ranked sixth with only 3,683 copies sold; “Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV Complete Edition” ranked tenth with 2,797 copies sold.

In terms of hardware, the Nintendo Switch 2 continues to dominate, with sales of nearly 30,000 units, followed by the PS5 Digital with just over 7,000 units sold.
