Publisher Dragami Games and NADA HOLDINGS, along with studio JP Universe, have officially released LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW 2 Back2Back. The new installment of the zombie action game is scheduled for release in 2027, but is currently only available for PlayStation 5. The exact platform list may be announced later.
The announcement was made during Tokyo Game Show 2026, where they also showed off 8 minutes of gameplay. You can see the familiar heroine from the first film using chainsaws and rollerblades to deal with zombies.
In “LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW 2 Back2Back”, the protagonist Juliet will return with a new costume and a more powerful chainsaw. The story takes place in a rebuilt San Romero that has become the Jared Wood metropolis built around the film industry. When a mysterious director traps Juliet in her own insane zombie movie, she must fight alongside her allies to uncover the conspiracy and stop the zombie menace from a twisted world.
Several experts related to the original game and other famous series are working on the project. “LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW 2 Back2Back” is directed by Hajime Tabata, the development lead of “Final Fantasy XV”. The team is also joined by Masahiro Yuki, co-writer and co-producer of the original Lollipop, and artist NekoshowguN, who was responsible for the concept art of the first installment’s protagonist.
