At the just-concluded BlizzCon 2026 exhibition, Blizzard announced that “World of Warcraft: Forever”, a new project in the classic alternative universe of Azeroth, will be released on November 4. Unlike seasonal servers, this version will provide players with measurable gameplay and horizontal content development with a constant cap of level 60, ensuring that all time spent leveling up will not be wasted.

In interviews with the developers, it turns out that the game won’t have crazy tribal characters like the tank shaman from Season of Discovery at the start, in order to preserve the basic simplicity and sameness of the class.

Meanwhile, raid shooting ranges will offer at least 10- and 20-player options, add-ons will face combat automation restrictions similar to the current version of the game, and PvP will get its own accelerated ranking system, with unique gear and new battlefields like the Darkspear Islands.

The main reward for reaching the highest level is not only unique cosmetic items, but also full-fledged PvP gear with useful properties.
