Studio Cygames has announced that the anime gashapon Umamusume: Pretty Derby will be the official partner of the 2026 MotoGP Japan Grand Prix. As part of the cooperation, a huge advertising screen approximately 155 meters long and 5 meters high will be placed near the track from October 2 to November 8. Eight Umamusume characters including Vodka, Yamato Scarlet, Oguri Hat, Tamamo Cross, Jungle Pocket, Agnes Tachyon, Almond Eyes and Lucky Lilac will appear on the advertising screen. An additional screen will be placed at the entrance to the main stand.
There will also be a special photo area with Umamusume illustrations on the track. They will be working in the main entrance area from October 2nd to 4th. Organizers caution that the images shown are preliminary versions and may differ from the final design of the event.
Another participant in the show is Shun Oguri’s Japanese voice actor Tomoyo Takayanagi. On October 4, she will wave the checkered flag after completing Moto3 and Moto2 races. Moto3 is expected to start at 05:00 Moscow time, and Moto2 will start at 06:15 Moscow time.
The Japanese Grand Prix will be the 16th round of the 2026 MotoGP championship. The main race in the MotoGP class will be held on October 4 at 08:00 Moscow time at the Mobility Resort Motegi circuit in Tochigi Prefecture.
