War Thunder gets a massive update, Sky Odyssey, that significantly expands all types of combat in the game. Major new projects include Greek Technology, India’s Arjun Mk 1, Indonesia’s Harimau and the new Mount Darwin map.
The ground forces were supplemented by M7, EMBT, Arjun Mk 1, Harimau, Object 416, FK-2000 and other vehicles. The EMBT equipped with a Leclerc turret on a Leopard chassis is particularly eye-catching, and a whole branch of Greek technology has appeared in the Israeli branch. In aviation, the list also includes F-102A, MiG-35, J-16, J35J, Rafale EG and many Greek aircraft. At the same time, R&D personnel redesigned a number of air-to-air missile models, including AIM-120, R-77, PL-12 and MICA-EM.
They did not forget about the helicopters in the fleet: the British AW159 Wildcat received Martlet and Spike missiles, including the USS Mahan, HMS Lion and the advanced Giulio Cesare. For ground combat, the Mount Darwin map of the Falkland Islands was added, and Red Sands was redesigned. Onboard visuals of the Falklands and Afghanistan have also been improved.
Finally, the update brings some noteworthy system changes. Nuclear Upgrades, Naval Confrontations, and Barrage Shooting are now always available through Battle! menu. Destroying enemy abandoned equipment earns rewards, and bomber survivability has been reworked with a new damage model. The kit interface has also been updated: you can now create up to 25 kits regardless of progress, and vehicle indicators can be switched between standard, NATO and Soviet styles.
