Development studio Rebel Wolves has officially confirmed that it will launch a new game plus mode for dark fantasy role-playing game Blood of the Dawn Treader at a later date. In a conversation about further product planning, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz made it clear that features highly requested by the community will definitely appear in the game. However, studio heads don’t want to give an exact timeline or specific release date. The development team is currently in the evaluation phase on how to balance the mode to keep the game challenging in the second round while retaining character progression and developed gear.
Confirmation of the New Game Plus mode fills a gap in the Polish development studio’s post-launch plans. Since the RPG’s launch, many players have requested to re-experience World of Darkness post-credits without completely losing any character progression, unlocked skills, or rare gear.
Tomaszkiewicz stresses that they don’t want to rush this model to market. Clumsily shifting values around without adjusting enemy proportions undermines the game’s design and title’s proposition. As a result, adjustments to enemy values, loot tables, and special rules are being made in the background.
The game director emphasized that offering New Game Plus is part of long-term product maintenance to maintain replayability and community loyalty. In the meantime, the team will continue to focus on technical improvements, stability patches, and fine balance adjustments to the main game before adding the mode for free in an upcoming content update.
With this announcement, Rebel Wolves are once again responding directly to player feedback. It’s unclear what packs the content update will offer outside of the mode, and whether more game variants will be implemented at the same time. Players still need to wait patiently until the developers announce the specific release date of the feature update.
