The upcoming trilogy finale will require a lot of space on your hard drive. The need for storage increases significantly compared to the first two parts.
“Final Fantasy VII Remake” already requires about 100 GB of hard drive storage space, while the sequel “Rebirth” goes even further, requiring about 150 GB of space. But all of that is nothing compared to the trilogy finale, Final Fantasy VII: Revelations – because this game is like the epitome of ultimate storage space needs when it releases in April 2027.
At least director Naoki Hamaguchi made it clear that he addressed this issue, as the physical version of the game will also require an additional download. Due to its size, the game can’t even be stored individually on a disc.
Hamaguchi said that while a specific game size has not yet been finalized, the development studio said players will likely need around 200 GB of storage space. Through optimization, you may be able to achieve slightly less than what was achieved at launch, but the final memory requirements may be larger – current estimates are still estimates.

Hamaguchi said the team is aware that some players may be upset that the physical version does not include all necessary game data.
Final Fantasy VII: Revelations will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on April 8, 2027.
