The problem of cheating in modern video games has long gone beyond local difficulties and has become a global threat to the entire industry. A new study conducted by Anybrain on 250 studios in the US and UK shows that 51% of developers have experienced revenue decline and audience loss due to cheating, and 45% admit that existing security systems are unable to cope with new threats.

At the last Gamescom, experts from Electronic Arts and Embark Studios shared a shocking prediction: The development of artificial intelligence tools, cheap hardware and shadow markets have made fraud a lucrative business, with individual hacker creators earning tens of millions of dollars. Despite the efforts of developers, traditional anti-cheat solutions are increasingly succumbing to technologically advanced and complex bypass methods.
