The Elder Scrolls Online development team is preparing to launch a new in-game event, “The High Seas of Tamriel,” which will begin on September 30. On the eve of the event, the studio published a story diary, which introduced players to the history of the famous pirate Captain Baron Orshin Guy Mader.
The new character’s story is told through a series of in-game letters. The plot revealed some details. A scholar responded to a request for information about the “mysterious ghost captain” by researching information related to Admiral Baron Benduolo. But references to Malder are extremely rare. One of these is a letter from Bundu Oluo that never reached the recipient due to his death or mysterious disappearance.
The event has been open on the Public Test Server (PTS) for some time. The developers hinted that players will have to face Captain Baron’s true secret, and the title of “Ghost” fully proves itself – the author directly advises “not to be afraid of his otherworldly appearance.”
Tech Update 51 will be released on September 28, two days before the High Seas event in Tamriel begins.
