Remedy has released the final trailer for Control Resonant to coincide with its upcoming release. In keeping with the studio’s tradition, the film combines footage of supernatural madness with well-known licensed titles – this time choosing The Cardigans’ My Favorite Game, which many will be familiar with from Gran Turismo 2.
The storyline centers on Dylan Faden, who wakes up after a disaster in Manhattan. The supernatural has escaped the control of the Federal Bureau of Control, and Dylan must find his sister Jesse (the heroine of the first Bureau) and work with her to deal with the threat.
At the same time, the sequel will significantly change the gameplay. While the original Control was built around gunplay and telekinesis, Resonance puts a greater emphasis on melee combat, changing up the usual combat tempo.
Control Resonant will be released on September 24th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
