Extreme climbing fans won’t have to wait too long: Kane’s first free add-on will be released on October 29, 2026. The DLC On the Trail: Deep Water will add new routes and several important features.
The main innovations will be at three locations. On the cliffs of Haakon and Ruki, players must crawl across water, which this time serves more than just a decorative purpose. An unsuccessful fall will end in a splash rather than another attempt not to crash. Another area is the Lamu Gym, where you can practice your skills in peace without worrying about turning your training into a rescue operation.
Waterdeep also lets you play as Marco and compare his climbing style to Aava. In addition, the developers will add a free mode: you can load saved content directly on the mountain, train in familiar areas and try new routes.
Tracking: Deepwater will be the first in a series of free expansions planned for Kane. The game is currently on sale on Steam at a 20% discount until September 26th. The DLC is expected to be released on October 29th, so there’s still time to get your gear ready.
