The release of American publisher and developer Blizzard Entertainment’s ambitious open-world shooter StarCraft is still up to four years away, and the game’s exclusivity issues have been clarified. At least part of it is.

Let’s remember that in an announcement at BlizzCon in September 2026, a three-minute trailer for the StarCraft movie was released and promised a 2030 release with no target platform.

The story of “StarCraft” begins 70 years after the events of the “StarCraft 2” trilogy. The game will focus on human marines facing the Zerg threat. The announcement trailer also showcased the Protoss architecture.
