As of today, it was revealed that the Ninja Theory development studio will be closing as part of Microsoft’s new restructuring measures. But what does that mean for the hopeful Senua, which is actually in development? Microsoft may still have plans for the game.
As we all know by now, Microsoft just registered a new trademark around the Senua IP last week. It’s been known within the company for a long time that Ninja Theory would be shut down – but they kept Senua.
So Microsoft holds the rights to Senua for now, and seems to have some plans with the brand after all. At least this way, you can protect yourself from any trademark infringement surrounding the “Senua” name, under which the planned new game is being developed.
