A new wave of rumors has emerged online about NetherRealm Studios’ unofficial but actively discussed fighting game Injustice 3. According to the latest addition to professional stuntwoman and motion capture actress Mackensi Emory’s resume, the upcoming game will feature at least two characters: the unsurprisingly returning Supergirl and absolute newcomer to the main series Batwoman (Kate Kahn).
While Supergirl was expected after the events of the final installment, Batwoman’s appearance came as a surprise, as in the original game’s official comic prequel, the heroine died before the main events began. According to insiders, this could hint at a soft reboot of the series, a multiverse conspiracy, or the emergence of an entirely new entity under a familiar veneer. NetherRealm Studios itself has remained mum on the game’s development.
