Embark Studios has announced details of a major update for action game ARC Raiders’ Frozen Trail, scheduled for release on October 8. The main new feature will be the snowy Pendora Pass location, with its mountainous landscape and the remains of the Kaiser’s ship. Players will face three new enemy types: aggressive Bully Walkers, ambushing Lurkers, and Hydra Turrets.
The game will also feature an indestructible frigate for hunting valuable loot at high levels. Outside of raids, users will be able to equip Raider Lair Outposts at research stations and upgrade weapons to quality 5. The arsenal will be supplemented by cutlass rifles and bantam revolvers, and mobility will be increased thanks to the grappling hook. Additionally, the update will bring a Rewards Pass progression system with both free and paid rewards.
Sadly, the PvE mode that players have been requesting for six months has yet to be announced.
