The remakes of Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2 will be Rockstar’s next big project after Grand Theft Auto 6

Rockstar Games has confirmed its plans for upcoming games: after the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, the company’s next major project will be a combined remake of the first two installments of Max Payne.

The updated version will combine the story of 2001’s Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne into one game for modern platforms. The project is being developed by Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar is the project’s publisher.

Currently, Rockstar’s main focus is on completing “GTA 6” and developing the next generation of GTA Online. Meanwhile, rumors of a new installment in Red Dead Redemption 3 or Bully have yet to be officially confirmed – and the studio has yet to announce other single-player projects.
