The trailer for Musk , Oscar-winner Alex Gibney’s critically acclaimed documentary about the richest man on Earth, Elon Musk, has debuted. Meanwhile, Bleecker Street has pushed back the film’s release date to October 9, citing the huge public interest in the film.

The film features interviews with the billionaire’s first wife, Justin Musk, Ashley St. Clair, the mother of one of his many children, the businessman’s father, Errol Musk, and others who have worked closely with him. The nearly four-hour documentary, including intermission, will be released widely in the United States after premiering in New York and Los Angeles.
“We have a guy who is so chaotic and has so much power. It’s crazy”“, says one of Musk’s many critics in the trailer. “This is a machine that lies to you about its purpose.”“,” another person said of a Tesla vehicle, before a trailer showed footage of an accident involving an electric car while driving with Autopilot on.
St. Clair appears in one of the most tense parts of the film. She claims Musk told her he knew in advance who would win the 2024 US presidential election. This has raised concerns that the businessman may actually influence the outcome of the election. “He told me: I can’t be president, but I can help Trump defeat Biden.”“, St. Clair said.
Musk, through his attorney Alex Spiro, threatened Gibney with legal action. Spiro warned the director that signs of election fraud must be refuted. “Therefore, before the film is released, we will inform you that these suggestions are false.”– wrote Spiro.
In a recent interview, Gibney told reporters he was taking the lawsuit threat seriously. “He has tremendous financial resources. Let’s be honest: In our legal system, money has more sway in the courts than it should. It’s not that everyone is equal before the law. He has a ton of money on paper, more than anyone else on the planet. So should you be worried when Alex Spiro makes a loud statement and threatens to sue? Yes, that’s always a concern. The film about “Mask” premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 8. The film has since screened at the Toronto Film Festival and the Camden Film Festival.
