Frontier Developments has announced a major overhaul to the legal system in space simulator Elite Danger in December. These changes are intended to make the illegal activities of virtual pilots more in-depth and interesting for those who choose to be smugglers or pirates.
The upcoming patch will take into account many details: now the detection of crimes in PvE will directly depend on the presence of witnesses on the scene, while crimes in PvP will become the prerogative of the pilot alliance. In addition, developers will simplify checks on their own wanted lists and add a convenient way to reset fines, turning the anarchic system into a reliable haven for lawbreakers.
Meanwhile, the creators are preparing to release a new spaceship, the Anaconda Mk II, in October, which features improved weapon slots and will be available for real money through the store for the first time.
