XLGAMES continues to share details about classes in the upcoming multiplayer role-playing game ArcheAge Chronicles. After the Magician article was published, we learned about the qualities of the Berserker. He excels in melee combat, can withstand large amounts of damage, and can strengthen his allies with his battle cry. This class is associated with Shyagon, the god of fertility, who in the past founded Gon, the sacred kingdom of gold and steel.
The berserker can choose one of two weapons: a shielded ax or a war hammer. The first is designed to protect and break through enemy defenses, while the second relies on powerful attacks using fire and thunder.
When choosing ax and shield, the Berserker is able to charge into a group of opponents, knocking them back and taking retaliatory blows. Key skills include:
- Reckless Destroyer – Perform a series of blows with the ax to increase the enemy’s bleed.
- Shield Bash ——Repel the enemy and return part of the energy consumed by being hit.
- Attractions ——Chains pull enemies closer.
- Violent collision — Break through enemy formations, creating stunning effects and reducing damage taken.
- ridge break – Knocks down nearby enemies and reduces damage taken.
Warhammer allows you to give up the protective capabilities of an ax in favor of greater destructive power. His skills are as follows:
- flash heat ——After a powerful strike, a burst of flames will be generated, increasing the burning scale of the enemy.
- Meteor Hammer ——After being hit by a “hard hit”, the power of the meteor will be accumulated to prepare for the next attack.
- galactic strike ——Instantly release the accumulated power of the meteor hammer, giving a powerful blow.
- resonance strike ——Consume the accumulated strength and launch a series of attacks. The more energy you accumulate, the more consecutive hits you get.
- thunder throw — Charge your hammer with thunder energy, allowing you to hurl it at enemies from a distance.
Chronicles of the Ancient Age is in development for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and is scheduled to enter Early Access in the fourth quarter of 2026.
