Blue Dot Games has some sad news for the tactical shooter ’83 community. Due to a severe decline in online numbers and financial difficulties, the developer has made the difficult decision to temporarily stop selling the game on Steam.
Despite all the team’s efforts – releasing the first major content update, sales, free demos, and an advertising campaign at the FPS Game Show – it was unable to rekindle audience interest. As the author points out, the number of concurrent players (CCU) is already well below the levels needed to maintain investor support and fully move toward version 1.0.
The team stresses that current servers will remain running and the game will continue to work for those who manage to purchase it, however, the developers feel it would be unfair to players to continue selling while the future is completely uncertain. The creators express their sincere gratitude to fans for their support, feedback, and enthusiasm during the difficult Early Access period.
