Santa Monica Studio has officially announced that Laufey will be available for pre-order on September 29th. The game will be released on PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027.
Anyone who pre-orders ahead of launch will receive the Last Wish armor set, the Phranque Golden Leaves cosmetic skin, and a set of in-game assets.
In addition to the base game, the Digital Deluxe Edition also includes the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scale, Dark Alchemy Catalyst, Resource Pack, Digital Mini Artbook, and the official God of War Laufey soundtrack.
The developers also told us what combat would look like from Feyre’s perspective. The heroine’s main weapon is the enchanted snake bow, which will immediately enter the battle-ready state from “sleep” state. The bow has two working modes:
- Full Aim – Aim precisely and increase range. You can load up to five arrows and fire a powerful volley, hitting your enemy’s weak points and weakening them, opening up windows for melee combat.
- Half Scope – Mobile hip-fire mode. Goblins fire swarms of arrows in melee combat, juggle enemies in the air, and switch weapons with ease.
Players will be able to choose different types of arrows (rapid-fire arrows, explosive arrows, multi-target arrows) and change snake scales – scales can change the appearance of the bow and provide unique benefits. Blades, catalysts, and armor can also be customized, affecting play style.
