Now, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt only runs at 1080p on the RTX 5090 - the higher rendering resolution brings the flagship to its knees

The release of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” “Remastered” is accompanied by a large number of independent performance tests. Judging from the latest news, the project now requires an RTX 5090 to play 1080p at 60 frames per second at maximum settings. If you turn off path tracing and just leave the “ultra” settings, the RTX 5070 Ti will be the absolute minimum for playing at 4K from now on.

The testers also tried to use the current fastest gaming processor Ryzen 7 9800X3D in the test component to find out the performance limit of the processor. The results showed that the game hit a limit of about 200 frames per second at medium settings at 1080p, even on the RTX 5070.

What are the processor limits for active path tracing and maximum settings? The most powerful Ryzen is only capable of 62 frames per second. For regular ray tracing, the limit rises to 94 FPS.
