Activision highlighted the PC-specific features that players can expect in the new shooter. Additionally, final system requirements are now determined.
A few weeks ahead of the release of new shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Activision has announced a ton of details about the PC implementation and released a trailer that’s suitable for demo purposes. As a result, there are various specific features and improvements on the platform that aren’t available on consoles.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is specifically optimized for a variety of PC hardware; these settings are automatically configured based on the computer’s appropriate hardware. When it comes to resolutions, there are all possible variants on PC, from 1080p to 1440p to 4K, from standard monitors to ultrawide – all possible monitors should be supported.
When it comes to upgrades, people are talking about current technologies like AMD FSR Redstone, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, Intel XeSS 3, and Filmic SMAA T2X. To combat cheaters, the multi-layered Ricochet anti-cheat system is again used. Server-side discovery options await you, as well as hardware-based search protection mechanisms such as TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
There is also a PC-specific enhanced FOV slider. Also supports HDR10+ and adjusts contrast and lighting. Other visual adjustment options include image clarity, shadow quality, reflections, and more.
Which leads us to the specs: According to Activision, the recommended system configuration targets a frame rate of 90 fps. All modes support ray tracing. If you want to test your computer ahead of time, you can do so using a benchmarking tool that has simulated multiplayer gaming sequences.
