Naughty Dog won’t be saying goodbye to The Last of Us universe entirely. During the Day of the Last of Us celebration, Neil Druckmann confirmed that the studio has begun early production on two new projects that will expand the canon beyond the original dichotomy.
Druckmann said The Last of Us is still very important to Naughty Dog, but the team won’t return to the universe without a new story it truly wants to tell. Nothing is currently known about the type and form of future projects.
As for Interstellar Prophet, details won’t be announced until the end of 2026. Naughty Dog plans to fully launch the new game in 2027.
A release date for Interstellar has not yet been announced. Currently, the only announced platform remains the PlayStation 5.
