While the world awaits the upcoming release of Metro 2039 in four months, 4A Games continues to entertain players who have regularly released previous installments of the series. So, today developers declare Graphics updates for Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux.

Also, oddly enough, the nature of the updates varies from platform to platform. On the Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 consoles, the aforementioned games will have a 4K mode at 60 frames per second, as well as a special mode at 120 frames per second, however, as the developers point out, in this case the upscaling system will come into play – with attendant image quality consequences.
On PC, the changes are even more interesting: the game will now support DLSS and spatial audio systems.
Released simultaneously for PC and consoles, once the update is released, lighting will be improved, shadows will be improved, particle effects will be improved, textures will be introduced at 4K resolution, and animations will be updated.
The patch is scheduled to be released on October 29th. Officially, its release coincides with the 50 million sales mark the entire Metro franchise has achieved in its 16 years of existence.
