The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered was not without technical issues: CD Projekt RED was aware that NVIDIA HairWorks was causing significant performance issues.

The Polish studio promises to fix everything in a patch, but so far it can only recommend disabling the setting until the flaw is ironed out. NVIDIA HairWorks is one of the leading “green” technologies that makes hair and fur as realistic as possible through dynamic volume, physics and shading of each hair.

Part of the reason is that – despite many other graphical improvements – the current version of the hit role-playing action game is now only available on current-gen platforms, and comes with increased system requirements for PCs.
