Forgotten Realms: Valin's Call is getting its biggest melee overhaul yet

Forgotten Realms: Valin’s Call has received patch 1.1.2, but more interesting than its small set of fixes is what the developers are preparing next. Over the next few weeks, the game should receive its biggest melee update yet, followed by a complete UI overhaul.

The current patch adds field of view adjustments and removes automatic field of view changes during sprinting, makes climbing more responsive, and fixes issues with item stats, parrying, inventory, and collision. In other words, Valin’s Call continues to polish the foundation.

The main thing is ahead. The developers want to make melee combat more dynamic, responsive, and tangible, and they’re directly calling the future patch the game’s biggest update. At the same time, a new interface is being created that will simplify character creation and navigation of equipment.

The game is also included in the Steam Fall Sale from October 1st to October 8th, with a 25% discount. It turns out that the preparations are quite transparent: while players receive a more convenient version of the current game, the team is already preparing serious modifications to its most important systems.
