Nvidia has released GeForce security driver version 582.78 for Maxwell, Pascal and Volta architecture-based graphics cards. Although these GPUs will no longer receive Game Ready driver updates (discontinued in October 2025), Nvidia continues to release critical vulnerability patches for them until October 2028. The new WHQL certified driver is available for 64-bit versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11.

For desktop systems, driver version 582.78 supports Maxwell (GeForce GTX 745, GTX 750, GTX 750 Ti and GTX 950-980 Ti series) and Pascal (GeForce GTX 1050-1080 Ti, GT 1030, GT 1010) based models. Also supports Titan V, Titan Xp, Titan X and GeForce GTX Titan X models.
Laptop support includes older Maxwell and Pascal-based products, including GeForce GTX 900M and GTX 1000 graphics cards, as well as a range of MX models from MX110 to MX350.
Nvidia’s September security bulletin lists 114 vulnerabilities found in display drivers (98) and vGPU software (16). The severity of the problems was as follows: 1 serious, 76 high threat, and 37 moderate threat.
CVE-2026-47574, rated critical (CVSS score 9.9), affects the virtual GPU manager component of vGPU on Linux, but not the GeForce consumer driver for Windows. For users of GeForce graphics cards on Windows, Nvidia has updated the driver branches, including R615 (version 616.56), R610 (version 610.88), and R580 (version 582.78).
