Ubisoft has once again expanded its team for the Splinter Cell remake and said it remains committed to the long-awaited project. Since its release in 2021, the game has been subject to multiple rumors of layoffs and restructuring problems within the company.
According to Insider Gaming, Ubisoft has posted at least three remake-related jobs in the past few months, with two of them appearing in the past two weeks. In particular, the studio needs a producer and lead level designer. Responsibilities for both include participating in the formation and expansion of teams.
At the same time, job vacancies alone do not allow us to determine the current stage of development. The latest official information about the game has appeared as early as 2024, and even later, reports of production issues have continued to appear.
Splinter Cell Remastered is produced by Ubisoft Toronto. A release date is still unknown, but ongoing hiring suggests the company isn’t stopping work on the project.
