The third-person action game “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2” has received version 15.0 update, which adds the ability to fight the Chaos side in siege mode for the first time. The Heretic Astartes join the conflict between the Imperium and the Tyranids and must fight against both Hive Fleet and Loyalist armies. They had help from cultists and even hellish savages. A new map “Hive” has been added to this mode, where the forces of Chaos defend strategically important positions and hold ceremonies in the center of the hive city.
For PvE, a new mode “The Crucible” has been added for the endgame. It is available to level 25 classes and is triggered through PvE actions. Before starting a mission, players can choose trials of increasing difficulty in exchange for rigorous experience and customized unique rewards. Further advancement unlocks armor elements in the Lamentor suit. The new mode uses a separate matching pool.
The Tactical class has received redesigned perks and an expanded set of development options. Changes include the ability to use both primary weapons, additional gun attack enhancement options and new melee options. The class’s arsenal has also been expanded to include a power sword, a power ax and a one-handed thunder hammer. When using these new weapons, the tactician will no longer be able to equip his primary weapon.
Changes also affect the equipment system. Cloaks and tabards now have separate slots and can be colored independently of the backpack or chest, and new colors have been added to cloth and cloaks. A separate camouflage pattern appeared on the sniper’s raincoat. Techmarine’s manipulator slot is divided into two, one for the manipulator and the backpack.
The update includes new hero items unlocked through achievements. These include the Frost Ax power axe, the one-handed thunder hammer and the Iron Hands automatic bolt rifle. Three pieces of heroic armor have been added: Ancient Pauldrons, Iron Halo Stormtrooper Pauldrons, and Mark VI Raven Pauldrons. Additionally, numerous balance changes have been made to PvE and PvP, as well as bug fixes.
