Long waits before launching a game for the first time and annoying image twitches due to shader compilation are gradually becoming a thing of the past. Microsoft has officially confirmed that its proprietary Advanced Shader Delivery (ASD) technology will transcend the AMD ecosystem and appear on all NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards as well as the RTX Spark platform by the end of this month.
The essence of this technology is to deliver compiled shaders and game files directly from the cloud through the Xbox ecosystem. Your computer no longer has to tax the processor for long periods of time every time there is a driver update or patch. This feature was previously tested mainly on AMD Radeon graphics cards (from RDNA 1 to RDNA 4) and showed huge results: initial load times were reduced by a record 95% in projects such as Forza, and microfreezes in games almost disappeared. Now, any owner of an RTX series card running Windows 11 24H2, as well as an Intel Arc B-series discrete graphics card (Battlemage), will have similar comfort. For full operation, you just need to update your graphics card driver, which NVIDIA will release in the coming weeks.
