What’s new in the PS5 update
Let’s first take a look at the official news about PS5 updates. The accurate classification is: Number 26.06-14.10.00:
- System software has undergone security fixes
- The performance and stability of system software have been improved
As you can see it is about Very classic restorationwhich doesn’t bring any tangible news other than a new defense level to prevent players from using a PS5 whose defenses have been breached.
It’s worth noting that this was not mentioned in the update Big news nowwe already told you, QSSR.
What is QSSR Introduction

Sony won’t be attending CES after decades at the show
The PS5 doesn’t have this feature, but now even the base model can take advantage of similar (albeit significantly weaker) technology for those who don’t want to upgrade to the more expensive Sony console models. at present its availability is very limitedbut for Marvel’s Wolverine and Rambo . We assume it will expand to new games over time.
Perhaps, today’s PS5 update is also related to QSSRalthough this is not stated in the official notes. That said, we’ll just have to wait for new updates. The previous firmware was released a few weeks ago for PS4 and PS5.
