You can soon experience this action game up close and personal, safely and for free. The free-to-play phase begins with the release of Frozen’s big update.
With Frozen Trail, Embark Studios not only delivers a major update to the successful game ARC Raiders, but also hopes to attract new players. That’s why this already successful action game is now going free-to-play.
The event will be added to supported PlayStation, Xbox and Steam platforms on October 8th and will run until October 12th, 2026. The promotion surrounding the free-to-play option is meant to celebrate the game’s first anniversary since its official release.
ARC Raiders will be free to play on Steam, Xbox and Playstation from October 8th (9am UTC) to October 12th (8am UTC)! A new big Frozen update is also launching on the same day, and you can try it out right away as part of a free trial. This is the game’s first major patch since a general reorganization of its content approach in 2026.
This update provides a new map located in the snowy Pendora Pass. There are also new enemies on board, new weapons, and a new reward pass system. The latter has two tiers: free and paid. Rewards are unlocked through progression in the game.
