October is shaping up to be a busy month in The Elder Scrolls Online. The game is currently hosting the Pirates of the High Seas event in Tamriel, which will run until October 14th. Players participate in naval battles, explore the depths of the ocean, and collect loot. Daily missions will reward you with Abyssal Loot Boxes – the first loot box on your account that day will be legendary and will net you 300 gold as well as other rewards. The chest contains Abecean Sea Privateer weapon styles, Suncleft Grotto Ornaug mount fragments, marine furniture, antique clues, and various resources.
On October 19th, two DLCs, Greymoor and Wolfhunter, will become part of the base version and will be available to everyone for free. This will open access to the Western Skyrim zone, the Antique system, Moon Hunter’s Castle and March of Sacrifice dungeons, as well as the Trials of Khaine’s Shield.
Season 2 of Echoes of Skyrim will begin on October 21 and run until January 27, 2027. Players can look forward to single-player versions of Eastern Skyrim, March of the Sacrifice, and the Moonhunt Citadel dungeon, as well as a new Tamriel tome with seasonal rewards. On the same day, the traditional Witches Festival will begin and last until November 4th.
Meanwhile, the Gold Chase event continues alongside the current naval event, where you can earn additional gold rewards, pets, and pirate skins.
Incidentally, the developer previously stated that the team decided to rethink the established content formula after a difficult period for the studio.
