Publisher Owlcat Games and developers from the Polish studio Another Angle Games for the first time in a month and a half got in touchto announce the postponement of the release of their turn-based role-playing game with a Japanese flavor, Shadow of the Road.

Let’s remember that at the end of August, Owlcat Games and Another Angle Games announced that they plan to release Shadow of the Road on PC on November 12 – just a week before the debut of the hotly anticipated crime action film GTA VI on consoles.
As it became known, Shadow of the Road will not be released on November 12 – they decided to postpone the release by almost four months, until March 10, 2027. The transfer was a result of the team’s commitment to excellence.
According to the developers, as they approached the November release, the team came to the conclusion that Shadow of the Road was not yet ready for the premiere and needed further polishing.
Specifically, the additional four months will be spent refining tactical battles and their balance (should reward thoughtful planning and offer meaningful choices), as well as adjusting the progression system to encourage experimentation.
“Simply put, we get more time to work on the game, and you get a more polished tactical RPG with a fun world to explore. We will continue to work hard to make the wait worthwhile.”the authors promised.
Shadow of the Road is being created exclusively for PC (Steam, GOG, EGS). They promise an exciting plot, classic turn-based battles with a samurai accent and text translation into Russian. Still available on Steam demo version.
