CD Projekt Red’s decision to become a developer that focuses only on two franchises – The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be bearing fruit. A strategy like this will ensure that the resources they have always have room to focus on improving, perfecting, as well as offering something new and different from what they had to offer in the previous series. Apart from confirming that The Witcher 4 will enter full production in 2024, CD Projekt Red is also continuing to perfect the team for “Project Orion” – the next Cyberpunk 2077 series. They even managed to recruit some big talents.
The development process for Project Orion itself will certainly be led by CD Projekt Red North America, which was only formed recently. Apart from several Cyberpunk 2077 veterans who returned for this sequel series, CD Projekt Red NA also managed to recruit several other big veterans who had worked under different developers. He succeeded in recruiting the former head of production for Amazon Games, former Game Director for Ubisoft Massive, former VP tech for Warner Bros Games, former one of the story writers for games such as CONTROL and Dishonored, and also the former lead writer for Bioware.
CDPR managed to recruit more gaming industry veterans for Project Orion aka the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
There is no clearer information about how far the development process for the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 has progressed and when it will come out in product form that we can try directly. How about you? Are there high hopes for this series?
